Hey from Boston! I'm here visiting some good friends for a long weekend. I'm heading out to revisit some of my favorite places and to meet up with some other friends. But boy is it COLD here! Brrrr...
Here's a somewhat embarrassing confession -- this is my first solo trip since Maia was born. She's three and a half, so it's about time, right? At least that's how I feel. I've needed this trip for a while and as much as I love my family, it's nice to be away for a few days.
I was a little worried about how Maia would do with me gone for the first time. So we talked about it ahead of time and I also left these little packages for Maia -- one for each day. Inside each is a note, a chocolate kiss, a gift-wrapped activity such as a puzzle, book, funny face stickers (separate eyes, nose, mouth etc for making faces), etc.
I'm crossing my fingers that she has a good time with Daddy. And in the meantime, I'm going to go hang out in a nice warm Boston coffeeshop for a little while!
