I mentioned that I'm participating in elsie marley's kids clothes week challenge. This basically means that I've said I'll sew kids clothes for an hour a day this week. This has been great (already!) in motivating me to sit down in front of the sewing machine!
Here's what I've made so far:
Another dress using a comfy t-shirt for the top (modeled by Marlise in the top photo) and two tiers of pretty floral seersucker fabric for the bottom. No zebra (or other) appliques this time. I'm going to keep this one simple.
A skirt for Maia from our leaf printed fabric of yesterday. I sewed a brown ribbon along the bottom edge, something I haven't done before. I'm hoping it washes okay.
And a matching leaf print applique to cover a stain on one of Maia's t-shirts.
I have plans for another dress for Maia (she usually lives in comfy dresses all summer) as well as an apron and some shorty pjs. And probably something cute for Daphne as well, even though she's pretty set for clothes at the moment. I might make her a matching dress, just for fun. Just once.
